Room 4 (Tui), Room 14 (Kiwi) and Room 8 (Takahe) all explored the illustrations of Eric Carle. They were inspired especially by his book, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, which was in its turn inspired by the artist Franz Marc. After sharing the many Eric Carle books in the library, the students painted paper to use in their own creations.
